Well, at the same time, just being there in the first place should be at your own risk. It's not like anyone there was there for any other reason than the race. They won't section off the whole 50 miles that's being raced on, and making a dirt track destroys the purpose. It's one of those things that is just dangerous. Like going to Glamis, there is always the risk of getting hit, or even having a sandrail come flying on top of you while you're sleeping. It's a risk, but I'm sure most, if not all, the spectators know the risk. This kind of shit happens in rally racing all over the world, especially to photographers. It's a shitty situation, but hopefully it gets handled in a mature matter.
